Recent Projects:
Architected and developed a customized shopping gateway for recorded music and related
items featuring an easy to use portal to shop for items on iTunes, Amazon.com,
eMusic, Arkiv Music, MixUnit, The Karaoke Channel and SecondSpin.com.
Solution comprised of middle tier logic in IIS 7 written in C# communicating with
third party systems for music searching and shopping. Web client runs on IIS 7 with
an AJAX.Net user interface.
Currently in production.
Grass roots development of a customized ground transportation booking solution allowing
users to reserve limousines for point-to-point trips or in conjunction with airline
flights (i.e. trips to the airport).
Solution comprised of a SQL Server 2008 data store, middle tier logic in IIS 7 written
in C# communicating with third party reservation system RESTful web services and
a web client running on IIS 7 with an AJAX.Net user interface.
Currently in limited release.
Portaga, Inc.
Architected and built out of the next generation TripSync travel booking tool as
implemented for TripSync.com and for Avis Budget Corp as the Avis Travel Manager.
The system leveraged Microsoft technologies in a distributed solution consisting
of a SQL Server 2000 data store, middle tier logic in IIS 6 written in C#, IIS 6
ASP.Net web services written in C#, web client running on IIS with an AJAX UI and
Win Forms clients running as Microsoft Outlook Add-ins, IE 6 / 7 Add-ins and Firefox
toolbars. Current work includes the build out of a branded travel booking tool for
American Airlines’ preferred travelers.
Architected and built out of the operations support and reporting systems as both
web clients and Win Forms clients using a SQL Server 2000 data store, IIS 6 web
services, a web portal running ASP.Net on IIS 6 and Win Forms rich clients. Crystal
Reports were implemented for reporting in both web clients and Win Forms rich clients
with VS 2005.
Coordinate and direct a subcontract IT infrastructure firm, Cordicate IT, to manage offsite
server and storage facilities.
Technical Lead on the RCS Traffic System used for the management of all aspects
of booking airplay for commercial spots on radio stations. Systems scope includes
customer management, proposal generation, proposal tracking, contracts, spot play
scheduler, discrepancy resolution / make goods and billing system export.
Led and managed the team through all phases of project execution from conception
to launch. Roles and responsibilities included acting as analyst working with business
domain experts, design data schemas, building the prototype / skeletal system, detailed
algorithm development, project management and direction of testing.
The traffic system was implemented using Microsoft technologies and third party
controls and features a split of business logic that resides in a Win Forms, rich
client as well as middle tier logic behind a web services façade. Technologies used
for this system include SQL Server 2000, VS 2003 C# Win Forms, IIS Web Services
/ ASP.Net.
